Athanasios Athanasiou Photography

Born in Nicosia, in 1975. From the age of 6 and for more than a decade, he was studying at Andreas Charalambous School of fine arts in Nicosia. He then continued his studies in the field of fine arts with the study of Conservation of Works of Art and Painting in Athens. From 1999 until today he works at the Department of Antiquities of the Cyprus Archeological Museum. The last 15 years, he performs duties of a major photographer of the Department. During the years, he collaborated with several professors, academics, archaeologists, etc., and photos of his work can be found in several books, articles and announcements of archaeological content, both in Cypriot and international bibliography. He is a member of the Cyprus Photographic Society since 2011 and participates in both local and international competitions, exhibitions and Biennial with numerous local and international achievements - awards and praises. As a tribute to his efforts, his work and his techniques in the field of photographic art and in recognition for the outstanding services rendered, FIAP (The international Federation of Photographic Art), gave him the title of AFIAP (Artist FIAP).
